Flower Care Tips

Simple ways to extend the life of your blooms

Fresh Cut

Trim stems at a 45-degree angle with clean, sharp scissors or shears. This increases the surface area for water absorption.

Water Wisdom

Change water every 2-3 days, cleaning the vase thoroughly each time. Use lukewarm water as most flowers absorb it better.

Ideal Placement

Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, heating vents, and fruit bowls (ethylene gas from fruit causes flowers to age faster).

Foliage Care

Remove any leaves that will be below the waterline to prevent bacterial growth that can cloud water and clog stems.

Recut Regularly

Every few days, re-trim the stems to prevent clogs and improve water uptake, keeping blooms fresher longer.

DIY Flower Food

If you're out of flower food, mix sugar, vinegar, and a few drops of bleach in water to nourish and protect your bouquet.
